Navigating the Justice System

The February Compatriot meeting will discuss issues facing veterans in the judicial system. The meeting’s speakers will delve into the issues of identifying and discussing the role of the veteran and local agencies that can assist them in evaluating and finding resolution to their judicial dilemmas.

Meeting presenters:

  • Michael Hampton from the Reentry Coalition of Northwest Ohio. The group helps identify needs and coordinate services for individuals.
  • Thomas Luettke is a reentry coordinator and sits on the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council.

Registration and networking starts at 6pm. We will be holding a special raffle for Mudhens and Walleye game passes for four!

    Attention veterans! Advocates for Basic Legal Equality (ABLE) offers free civil legal services to qualifying veterans. Some legal issues they assist with are: Family Law -divorce/dissolution/custody/child support, Consumer Issues – debt and collections, Housing – landlord/tenant and eviction, VA benefits and discharge upgrades. Please call 1-888-534-1432 to see if you qualify for help!
