United States Vets Inc. would sincerely like to thank all the veterans, supporters, vendors, and especially Forrester’s on the River for their participation in the fundraising event on Saturday, January 17.
The day’s events included some fine entertainment from the newly developed band comprising of wonderfully talented musicians who have served in the armed forces, as well as the Skip Turner Band, Bob May and poet Ophelia Thompson. Outstanding vendors from the area graciously presented their businesses in the ballroom along with the organization’s outreach program. A memorial to Toledo’s fallen Vietnam Veterans was also presented in the ballroom in memory in respect to our fallen brothers. A special thank you to Dawn Heisler of Heroes in Action for her participation in the day’s events. The event had press coverage from Channel 13’s McKenzie Kuehnlein and WTOL’s Dick Berry which surely brought attention to the function. The generous donations are truly appreciated and the United States Vets would humbly like to thank everyone who opened their heart and wallet to support our efforts in assisting our national heroes here at home.
United States Vets Inc. would sincerely like to thank Forrester’s owner John McQueary and his son, venue manager Johnathan McQueary for their gracious hospitality and the use of their wonderful venue for our luncheon and expo. We would also like to acknowledge the marvelous vendors who also participated in Saturday’s expo as well.
