United States Vets Inc. has announced a new project reaching out to women veterans in the Toledo and SE Michigan area.
The Women Veterans Initiative will be held Saturday, February 20th from 10 am to noon at the Toledo Lucas County Main Library, McMaster Room 325 Michigan Street in downtown Toledo.
This is an event for women veterans to discuss their specific issues and needs. Topics to be covered will include:
- Specific issues facing women veterans
- Balancing work and family
- Education
- Employment
The women veterans community is rapidly growing and the organization’s mission is to serve as an advocate to all veterans, men and women. Veterans, spouses, family members and friends are urged to attend. The event is open to the public. Information and material regarding upcoming events will also be available.
