Owner Ed Beczynski visited over 35 pubs in Ireland in March, 2006 and was inspired to open an Irish pub in downtown Toledo, Ohio. Finding the right downtown building, with the right old feel was the key. The Blarney Irish Pub opened on November 6, 2006. All of the furniture and many items on the walls were bought in Ireland and shipped to Toledo to give guests the feel of a pub near The Blarney Castle in County Cork, Ireland.Ed learned the importance of pouring a perfect pint of Guinness while in Ireland and in the first five months sold over 150 kegs of the roasted barley drink.

As pilots in the United States Air Force, we’ve traveled the world. When we laid the foundation for The Flying Joe, we had a permanent location for an intangible idea. After over twelve years of growth and discovery, a lot has changed, but our vision has not. We want to evoke the level of service found during the romantic era of aviation, when the customer service was second-to-none and the skill-level was focused and cutting-edge. We love making people happy. We work hard to craft the area’s best coffee, and continue to search for the greatest cup on Earth.

Warrior Wings is a veteran-owned and operated quick-service restaurant specializing in fresh chicken wings, tenders, and bird-dogs (our spin on the chicken sandwich). We strive to offer our customers a quality product, quickly, and with the purpose of giving back from each sale to help local veteran causes within our community.
About the founder – Brock Nagel, originally from northwest Ohio, enlisted in the Army post 9/11. He joined with the belief that privilege and responsibility go hand in hand. A belief that it is his responsibility, as a capable citizen, to give back for the privileges he had benefited from as an American. Brock is one of five brothers who served in the Army or Marine Corps, with three of his brothers currently serving on active duty. Brock was stationed in Baumholder Germany with the 170th IBCT where he deployed to Chora Valley, Afghanistan as a platoon leader in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
As a combat veteran, he began to see the many issues that soldiers and prior military face once back in the civilian world. Whether it be physical or mental, the need to help transition our brothers and sisters is vital. That is why Warrior Wings has decided to donate a portion of each sale to local veteran causes to help facilitate healing and help among our local warriors.
