On Saturday, November 7, 2015, the Toledo Museum of Art will be participating in the national Veterans Glassblowing Day. This event, started in 2013 by Lisa Aronzon, attempts to “to provide US veterans and active duty personnel with a free opportunity to experience glassblowing. The intention is to expose members of the military to a potentially marketable skill, create joy through artistic expression, and build community.”
The Toledo Museum of Art will be hosting an entire day of free glass activities for US veterans and active duty military, including hour-long classes at the Glass Pavilion Hot Shop. Limited spots are available for the classes so make sure you call to reserve your spot at 419-255-8000 x7448 during Museum hours.
For more information and class times, visit the museum website.
