We are forming a marching unit of women veterans to march in the Toledo/Lucas County Memorial Day Parade on May 27, 2017. The parade organizers indicate they would be HONORED to have a unit of military women march in the parade. This has never been done in the Toledo parade. We are in the initial stages of planning to include: gathering a list of interested participants; creating a banner and guide on pennant; deciding on an identifying “uniform” appearance; identifying a time and place to practice as a unit formation; consideration of a color guard.
