The Ohio BMV began offering specialty license plates dedicated to women veterans June 2016. The plates are available for purchase to any women currently serving or retired who served in any branch of the military.
According to the BMV, women make up more than 15 percent of America’s military. More than 67,542 women veterans of all eras reside in Ohio. There are no additional fees for the plates.
