PTSD & Sexual Assault – Recognizing and Addressing the Issue

July 19, 2016 By Zigit

Saturday, August 6, noon
180th Fighter Wing
Ohio Air National Guard
2660 South Eber Road, Swanton, Ohio

PTSD and sexual assault is an issue that affects women veterans across the country and is sadly unrecognized. Topics will include coping with issues, recognizing danger signs, where can a women vet reach out for help.

If you are a woman veteran, regardless of era, and are struggling with PTSD or have been a victim of sexual assault, we women-veteransencourage you to attend.

We welcome all women veterans to take advantage of this special program and learn more about the resources available.

Our featured speaker is Linda VanderPol, Psychotherapist at Caring Counts Family Therapy Services, Toledo. Ms. Vanderpol will unlock and explain the symptoms of PTSD and the effects of assault as well as explain the different options of healing and offer effective therapy ideas. Material will be available to attendees.

Due to the sensitivity of the subject matter, you must register for this event to attend. Please contact Leslie at Lclouden7@gmail.com for registration and details. Registration deadline is Thursday, August 3.

This event is for WOMEN ONLY. Directions and details for the event will be sent to the attendee at time of registration.
