The Women Veterans Initiative was recognized at the SoNow event on May 4 at Chandlers Café in Sylvania. The professional
women’s network invited the organization to speak about the new initiative to spurn awareness of the new endeavor. It was brought to the attention of Toledo business women the plight of women vets and their much needed recognition and awareness of their issues. Carol Drake, retired Navy veteran (Vietnam era), was recognized for her serve with a standing ovation from the attendees.
The Women Veterans Initiative will be honored again by SoNow on May 19 at The Pinnacle in Maumee. Please see our event calendar for details regarding time and location.
