Women Veterans Initiative 2nd Meeting

April 22, 2016 By Zigit

We will be holding a brainstorming meeting for the Women Veterans Initiative at the Oasis on Dorr and women-veteransSecor in Toledo on April 23 at noon. If you are a women vet or a supporter and would like to be involved in the area’s FIRST program designed for these special veterans, please attend to share your ideas and become part of the development of this initiative.

We are pioneering this program to serve the women who have served this country. This pilot program will not only advocate for the women who are already veteran, but more importantly, become the resource for women who are presently returning and those returning in the future. Currently, there are NO programs (other than what the VA offers) that is dedicated to advocating for these women in Toledo. United States Vets Inc. is taking the lead regarding this issue and we encourage you to join us and women veterans in the area to make this program a success. You can play a vital role.

Our first attempt to reach out to this group was great, but now the real work begins on the road to success for this program. This is a casual meeting just to help form the next steps to be taken as we continue to build the foundation for this initiative. If you are a vet or know someone who is, please attend. United States Vets Inc. wants to know what you think and we can only address the needs if we know what they are and develop the best way to approach those needs. Thank you so much for your consideration and hope to see you there!
